Why create new standards which are different to existing standards? The British Standard for pipeline labelling (BS 1410) has been around for decades and avoids the obvious hazard of labelling both fuels and fire-fighting systems in red! Under the BS 1710 system water for fire-fighting has a red label, liquid fuels are brown and gaseous fuels are yellow. It's an established system and works well.
