We have operating lift stations which are designed to move wastewater from lower to higher elevation. I would like to inquire about a computer program that would calculate all of the flows from each lift station point.
We are looking for a software which can estimate the quantity of all the flows for better Lift Station Management.
Dear Antone, I am working with Bentley SewerGEMS for creating sewerage system model for Latvia's capital Riga. We have around 100 sewerage lift stations in system. Riga have around 600000-700000 inhabitants.
Multiply the amount of time each pump is on in each lift station in minutes by the pump rating for the respective pump in GPM. Add these together for each lift station to get the total period flow for each Lift Station. This can easily be done in a spread sheet. I have attached an example to work with. Many of us have worked under a tight budget. 1-Clean wet well for Lift Station using Vactor truck or other pumps.to remove sand and grit. 2-Change pump impellers, order two and change one at time.You may be shocked at wear. 3-Get lift station power bill and check monthly KW power bill before and after impeller changes. 4-Install hour meters on pumps. 5-Amp meter readings before and after impeller change. 6-Train lift station operators on use of amp meter, record keeping and use of I phone type record keeping. Using KW from power bills ,amp reading of pumps you will then be set to use R.F.C. System or other Flow Control Systems. Careful of time. Try to lock in time so one month does not go into six months. Impeller order may take months to get. Reading daily hour meters and power KW reading at same time is good idea. Training for use of amp meter is hard for some.Many have only changed light bulb. They may not wish to use meter when boss is not there. Good luck.
